Africatown Voter Education Candidate Forum

October 17, 2017

This forum will bring issues of importance to the forefront of the current electoral races for:

-Mayor of Seattle
-Seattle City Council
-Seattle School Board
-Port of Seattle
-Seattle City Attorney

The Young Voters League was founded to encourage political analysis and participation from younger voters (under 40), to facilitate dialogue with political candidates, and to assist young people in registering to vote and leveraging power in the political process.

Our past voter education forums have been well attended and influential as we address real issues that are related to our community.

Africatown is an Asset Based Community Development initiative to leverage the positive cultural assets of the Black diaspora for development of a healthy, vibrant, productive and prosperous community.
