In 1990, Criminal Nation released their debut album, “Release the Pressure” on Nasty Mix Records. Along with being one of the first groups to bridge the I-5 corridor by uniting many artists from the Hilltop neighborhood and greater Tacoma area and connecting them to the Seattle music scene, “Release the Pressure” was also the first album in the PNW to be released with a ‘parental advisory’ sticker.

Criminal Nation was originally formed by Wojack (MC Deff) and consisted of D-Rob, Spade, Bumpy, Wojack, Clee-Bone, Eugenius (DJ E), Pleasant, Simmons, Brown, and Jones, among others.
