Pele (Play) is an B-boy, educator, mentor and father. Pele was raised in the 206, where he strives to help build his B-boy community through out-reach programs, teaching youth dance classes, helping establish “Soulful Mondays”, an open dance space for dancers of all levels to create. As Co-director of the 206 Zulu production committee, Pele hosts many street dance competitions around the Northwest, while enjoying a career coaching boys gymnastics for Seattle Gymnastics Academy. He is passionate about using new methods and ideas to give back to his dance community to create a better, stronger and more accessible, unified future for the young adults. “I learned from other brotha before me…Don’t worry about staying true, staying true it will happen naturally.” -Legz RSC
