2023 CityArtist Grant Opens (Deadline: 4/20)

“The City is proud to help support local artists highlight their unique work and tell their compelling stories. Through art, we can share experiences and feelings with one another in new ways and new words — helping connect our communities and bring us together as One Seattle.”–Mayor Bruce Harrell

The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture is now accepting applications for the 2023 CityArtist program. CityArtist supports Seattle-based individual artists/curators in the research, development, and presentation of their work. The 2023 application is open to dancers/choreographers, musicians/composers or theater-makers (including playwriters).

Applications will be accepted for artists working in these art forms or disciplines for this cycle:

  • Dance/choreography

  • Music/composition

  • Theater (including playwriting)

Artists who practice traditional/ethnic and multi-disciplinary art forms are always welcome, as long as a primary art form is one of the eligible disciplines listed. See guidelines for details.
